On Oct 9, 2018, members of 100 Women Who Care--MKE Metro West chose to support MS--Just Keep Moving, whose mission is to realize and accept that people with multiple sclerosis ("MS") need a place where they belong and can make progress with MS. MS - Just Keep Moving, Inc. provides a positive, encouraging, learning environment for people with MS where they can share their journey of living with MS and be actively engaged in building communities where people with MS learn to accept and live their lives to the fullest. We are operated 100% by volunteers and 100% free of cost to participants with MS.

On July 9, members of 100 Women Who Care--MKE Metro West delivered members' checks to our June 2018 chosen charity, Royal Family KIDS--New Berlin. These funds will be used to help provide foster children with positive camp experiences from Aug. 13 to Aug 17. Thirty children participate in this camp each year.  RFK also mentors these children throughout the year.  In total over 100 volunteers are involved in this project to help foster children in our area.

On Feb. 6, 100WWC-MMW members choose Your Choice to Live a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides alcohol and drug prevention, education, intervention and support. Since the inception in 2009, Your Choice has provided services to over 700 families and spoken to over 175,000 youth in 250 middle and high schools across SE Wisconsin.

On Nov. 9, 100WWC-MMW members delivered our donations to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin, our selected charity Oct.10.  Since they opened their doors in 1984, the Ronald McDonald House in Eastern Wisconsinhas been keeping families of seriously ill children at Children's Hospital close by providing more than 40,000 family stays.

 St. Joseph's Medical Center of Waukesha was presented with checks totally $10,000 by members of 100 Women Who Care--Milwaukee Metro West and Ellinger Foundation.  These funds will help the uninsured and under-insured in our communities lead healthier lives.

Variety--The Children's Charity of Wisconsin Chosen on Feb. 7

On Feb. 7, Variety--The Children's Charity of Wisconsin was chosen as our next local charity to support. Wanting to help children reach their full potential no matter their challenges, Variety Children's Charity of WI was founded in 1935 to provide a children in need of devices such as wheelchairs and special bikes to insure that kids can experience the joys of being kids.

Elmbrook Senior Taxi Chosen on Oct. 4

On October 4, members of 100WWC-MMW chose the Elmbrook Senior Taxi as the charity to support at our third meeting.  This local charity provides low-cost taxi rides to seniors and ambulatory disabled adults in communities in Waukesha County.

Hebron House--Charity Chosen by Members in Feb. 2016

The Hebron House in Waukesha,WI was the first chairity chosen by the members of 100 Women Who Care--MKE Metro West.  For over 30 years, Hebron House of Hospitality has been the largest nonprofit provider of services to the homeless men, women and children in Waukesha County. 

 

Their commitment to helping community members in need means providing food, clothing, shelter and other related services to care for those who need help the most.

Ann's Hope Foundation

In June 2016, members of 100WWC-MMC chose as recipient of $10,000 Ann's Hope Foundation, Inc., a local charitable/not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to raise awareness of the dangers of melanoma cancer and to raise the level of research, early detection and prevention efforts in the community.

Ann's Hope was founded in 2005 in Hartland, WI by two friends who both lost loved ones to melanoma.
